Event Background: A VIP lounge with a signature environment for FUSE TV’s activation during the week-long run at SXSW music and film festival. Stubb’s is a unique venue featuring multiple buildings, restaurant and bars, and a large yard that can hold 2,000 people. It showcase included Sound City featuring Dave Grohl and Stevie Nicks, The Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Vampire Weekend, Alt-J, and more making Stubbs one of the hottest venues for SXSW. The event included soft integration of branding for Fuse and their partner Twix, an environment for to host interviews and a VIP lounge space.

Execution: Environment design, implementation and project management. Transforming a rustic storage shed at the famous Stubb’s restaurant & venue, into a VIP lounge with a signature environment for FUSE TV. Combining Stubb’s rustic wooden textures with the FUSE TV brand identity, designing custom wooden bars, and integrating the green diagonal Fuse lines to create a hanging light sculpture using LED fixtures with an animated green glow. A DJ Station inspired by the passionate record collectors featured in the FUSE TV segment, “Crate Diggers”, the design centered around a massive collection of records that served as decor and storage for party music all week, inviting amateur and professional DJs to spin records. The space also featured a photo booth networked to the large flat screen monitors installed around the area, featuring the brand sizzle reels and a loop of the VIP photos op. A custom designed Fuse charging station to juice up their phones while escaping the Austin sun in the lounge.
